Apple Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 tsp. buttermilk or sour milk
1/2 c. raw unpeeled apple, grated
1/4 c. nuts
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
2 c. sifted flour (all-purpose)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream shortening.
Add sugar and eggs.
Add milk, apple, nuts and raisins.
Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture.
Bake in a greased loaf pan for 45 minutes to an hour at 350\u00b0.
Cool before cutting.
