Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    1 pkg. Betty Crocker scalloped potatoes
    3 c. water
    3 to 4 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 hard-cooked egg
Preparation
    Fry bacon; drain and crumble.
    Discard all but 2 tablespoons bacon fat.
    Add potatoes and their sauce to pan.
    Stir in water. Heat to boiling and simmer 25 minutes until potatoes are tender. Carefully stir in vinegar, bacon and bacon drippings.
    Garnish with finely chopped egg.
