Cottage Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean hamburger meat
    1 small chopped onion
    1 can undiluted cream of celery or mushroom soup
    1/2 c. fresh mushrooms
    salt and pepper to taste
    grated Parmesan cheese
    enough mashed potatoes (hot or cold) to cover 1 1/2-quart casserole dish
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Brown hamburger meat and drain off the fat.
    Add chopped onion and simmer 2 to 3 minutes until opaque. Add soup, mushrooms, salt and pepper; mix well and put into a casserole dish.
    Spread mashed potatoes over mixture.
    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until the cheese topping is light brown (and potatoes are heated through if cold mashed potatoes were used).
    Serves 3 to 4.
