Chinese Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 Tbsp. oil
    1 garlic clove, crushed
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. beef, cut in small thin slices
    1 c. bouillon
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 c. mushrooms, sliced
    1 c. green pepper, cut in 1-inch sq.
    1/4 tsp. powdered ginger
    1 can water chestnuts (optional)
Preparation
    Heat pan.
    Add oil and garlic.
    When garlic turns brown, remove.
    Add beef; fry a few minutes.
    Season with black pepper. Add bouillon; continue to cook a few seconds.
    Combine cornstarch, soy sauce and water.
    Add.
    Cook, stirring until sauce thickens. Add peppers, mushrooms, water chestnuts and ginger.
    Heat thoroughly.
    Serve over steamed rice.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
