Jalapeno Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. bacon drippings
    1 c. cream-style corn
    1 lb. sausage
    2 to 3 jalapeno peppers, chopped fine
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. baking powder or soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 lb. yellow cheese, grated
Preparation
    Cook and drain sausage.
    Mix corn meal, salt and soda.
    Add eggs (beaten), milk, corn, bacon drippings, onion and peppers.
    Add sausage and cheese.
    Pour into large 2-inch deep casserole dish, greased.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until brown, approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
