Walter'S Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. yellow cornmeal
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 (No. 303) can cream-style yellow corn
1/2 c. bacon drippings
1 lb. ground meat
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
4 canned jalapeno peppers, finely chopped (optional)
Preparation

Mix cornmeal, eggs, milk, soda, salt, creamed corn and bacon drippings.
Set aside.
Saute meat and onion.
Place on paper towel to absorb any excess grease.
Grease large black iron skillet.
Heat.
Sprinkle a very thin layer of meal in skillet and let it brown slightly.
