Ingredients

1 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Beat in egg and almond extract. Gradually bear in dry ingredients.
Tint dough with food coloring. Cut with favorite cookie cutters or make balls and flatten with a fork.
Bake at 375\u00b0.
