Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
3 1/2 c. flour
1 (8 oz.) box dates
1 lb. orange slice candy
1 c. flake coconut
2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. orange juice
2 c. powdered sugar

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add flour, soda and milk alternating each.
Cut up dates and candy.
Add fruit, coconut and nuts to batter.
Bake in a tube pan at 250\u00b0 for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
(Roll fruits in some extra flour before adding to cake.)
