Homing Grits Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. instant grits
6 c. water
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 sticks oleo
1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
3 eggs, beaten
Preparation

In a saucepan, bring 6 cups of water to a full boil.
Stir in grits and salt and cook 3 or 4 minutes.
Remove from stove and add oleo, cheese, Tabasco and eggs.
Pour into well-greased small pan and bake 1 hour or until golden brown.
Cool.
Slice as bread or serve topped with creamed chicken or tuna.
