Almond Butter Crunch - cooking recipe

1 c. butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. white corn syrup
3 Tbsp. water
1 c. coarsely chopped almonds, toasted
4 milk chocolate Hershey bars, melted
1 c. finely chopped almonds, toasted
Preparation

Melt butter in heavy saucepan. Add sugar, syrup and water. Cook, stirring often, to hard candy stage (300\u00b0). Quickly stir in coarsely chopped nuts. Pour in well-greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Cool. Spread top with half the chocolate and half the finely chopped nuts. Turn over and repeat with chocolate and nuts. Chill. Break in pieces like peanut brittle.
