Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 Tbsp. water
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. finely ground nuts
Preparation

Blend ingredients and chill.
Make into balls about 1 inch in diameter and place on cookie sheet close together as they do not spread.
Bake 45 minutes at 250\u00b0.
While warm, roll in powdered sugar.
Yields about 48 balls.
