Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. cabbage, chopped
    1 qt. onions
    1 qt. cucumbers, peeled
    1 qt. green tomatoes
    4 to 5 green peppers
    1 c. salt in 1 gal. water
    1/2 gal. vinegar
    6 c. sugar
    1 tsp. turmeric
    2 tsp. celery seed
    6 Tbsp. dry mustard
Preparation
    Pour salt water over cabbage, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and green peppers.
    Let stand 2 hours and then drain.
