Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. bread, cubed
    3 c. milk
    1/4 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    dash of nutmeg and cinnamon
    sliced apples and/or raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Put milk and bread in pan and heat.
    Beat eggs until light. Add sugar, vanilla, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
    Beat well.
    Add to cooled bread and milk.
    Lightly stir in apples and raisins if desired.
    Pour into buttered casserole dish and place in pan of hot water.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 for 1 hour until light brown.
