Pumpkin Dessert Ring - cooking recipe

1 2/3 c. sifted flour
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/3 c. soft shortening
1/3 c. water
2/3 c. raisins
1/3 c. chopped nuts
1 c. cooked pumpkin
1 large egg
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease well a 2-quart ring mold.
Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
Add shortening, water, nuts, raisins and pumpkin.
Beat 2 minutes at medium speed; scrape bowl constantly. Add egg; beat 2 more minutes, scraping.
Pour into prepared mold. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
Serve warm with lemon sauce or whipped cream.
