Fruit Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pecans
    1 stick butter or oleo
    1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
Preparation
    Grease 10 x 15 x 1-inch pan.
    Cover bottom with pecans.
    Make batter of other ingredients except pineapple and cherries; pour batter over pecans and press it in with dampened hands.
    Cut fruit and press in slightly to mix evenly.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
