Sausage Casserole 1 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage, cook and drain
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 1/2 c. diced celery
    2 3/4 c. boiling water
    1 envelope dry chicken noodle soup
    1 c. uncooked rice
    bread crumbs or toasted almonds for top
Preparation
    Brown sausage and drain well.
    Saute onion and celery.
    Simmer rice in water for 15 minutes.
    Add soup mix and simmer 15 minutes, until tender.
    Mix all together, put into greased 2-quart casserole.
    Top with crumbs or almonds.
    (I put in 2 dishes and freeze one.)
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
