Harvard Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (16 oz.) cans or jars sliced beets
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. oleo or butter
Preparation
    About 20 minutes before serving, drain beets, reserving 1/2 cup of beet liquid.
