Custard With Topping On The Bottom - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3 c. milk, scalded
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dark brown sugar
Preparation
    In a large heatproof pitcher, beat the eggs.
    Add granulated sugar and salt.
    Slowly blend in the scalded milk and stir in the vanilla.
    In the bottom of each custard cup, put a rounded tablespoon of dark brown sugar and pour the egg mixture in.
    Set in a pan of hot water and bake at 350\u00b0 until a knife comes out clean, about 1/2 hour.
