Peas And Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. oil
1 onion, chopped
1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
1 can black-eyed peas, drained slightly
1 can green chilies
1 small can cream-style corn
1 lb. ground meat, browned with onions and drained
Preparation

Add soda to buttermilk and set aside.
Mix cornmeal, flour, salt, eggs, oil and buttermilk.
Add peas, green chilies, corn, meat and all the grated cheese except a small amount for top. Pour into a well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
