Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
2 well beaten eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 c. salad oil
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. plus 4 Tbsp. all-purpose flour, sifted before measuring
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Cream together the butter and sugars.
Beat eggs and salt together and add to creamed mixture.
Add oil and vanilla.
Sift together the flour, soda and cream of tartar.
Add to first mixture.
If you wish to roll the dough and cut out the cookies, refrigerate dough for an hour.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 7 dozen 2-inch cookies.
