Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground chuck
    1 medium onion
    2 tsp. salt and pepper
    2 c. chopped celery
    1 1/2 c. water
    2 cans bean sprouts
    2 tsp. water
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. soy sauce
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. brown gravy sauce
Preparation
    Brown hamburger and onion.
    Add salt, pepper, celery and 1 1/2 cups water.
    Simmer for 20 minutes covered.
    Add bean sprouts and heat.
    Combine 2 tablespoons water, cornstarch, soy sauce, sugar and brown gravy sauce.
    Add to hamburger mixture.
    Cook until thick.
    Serve over cooked rice and chow mein noodles
