Hamburger Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger
    3/4 c. rice (uncooked)
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    2 large carrots, peeled and sliced
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Brown hamburger and drain off grease.
    In a large skillet, place hamburger, rice, tomato sauce, water, carrots, salt and pepper.
    Stir to combine.
    Bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer. Simmer, covered, over low heat until rice is done and carrots are tender.
    Do not stir!
    Add water as needed to keep from sticking. Serves 6.
