English Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. scalded milk
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 cake compressed yeast or 1 pkg. dry yeast (dissolve as directed on pkg.)
    3 c. flour
    4 Tbsp. corn meal
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients.
    Cool to lukewarm by adding 1/2 cup water.
    Add yeast.
    Mix well.
    Add flour.
    Mix to soft dough.
