Marinated Green Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. white pepper
    1 (11 oz.) can small English peas, drained
    1 (2 oz.) jar pimento, drained
    1 (12 oz.) can white Shoe Peg corn, drained
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. onion, chopped
Preparation
    Bring to a boil and boil for one minute: sugar, vinegar, water, salt and white pepper.
    Cool completely.
    Combine vegetables and pour marinade over mixture.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
