Scalloped Yams And Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (1 lb.) cans yams, drained and halved
    6 medium apples, peeled and cut thin
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1/3 c. margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Arrange half the yams, cut side down, in shallow 2-quart baking dish.
    Add half the apples.
    Mix remaining ingredients and sprinkle half on mixture.
    Repeat layers.
    Cover with lid or foil and bake at 350\u00b0 until apples are tender, about an hour.
    Serves 6 to 8.
