Aunt Mag'S Caramel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar (white)
    1/2 c. flour
    2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 egg yolks
    4 egg whites
    8 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Brown
    sugar
    and
    flour in heavy iron skillet over low heat until it browns, stirring all the time.
    Add the milk and stir until
    thick
    and all melted.
    Add butter and cool.
    Beat the egg yolks
    until
    they\tare light and add while stirring. Add vanilla. When cool, stack between three cooked pie crusts like
    cake filling.
    Beat
    egg
    whites
    until\tstiff.\tAdd
    8 teaspoons sugar,
    one at a time.
    Add vanilla.
    Put on top and brown.
    The crusts have no sides, just roll out 9 inches round and bake.
