Frosty Mandarin Jello Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can Mandarin orange sections
    2 c. boiling water
    1 pt. orange sherbet
    2 pkg. (3 oz. each) or 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Jell-O orange gelatin
Preparation
    Drain
    oranges,
    measuring syrup. Add water to syrup to make 1
    cup. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.\tAdd measured liquid. Add
    sherbet
    by
    spoonfuls,
    stirring
    until melted. Chill
    until thickened.
    Fold in oranges, reserving a few for garnish.\tPour into a
    serving
    bowl.
    Chill until set.
    Makes about 5 cups or 8 servings.
    Recipe can be doubled.
