Curried Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pecan halves
    1/4 c. peanut oil
    1/4 lb. butter
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. curry powder
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    salt to taste, about 2 tsp.
    1 Tbsp. chutney
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Place the pecans on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 10 minutes.
    Do not allow the pecans to brown.
    Remove the nuts from the oven but leave the oven turned on.
    Melt the butter and oil in a large skillet.
    Add the brown sugar, salt, curry and ginger.
    Blend well.
    Add the pecans and stir with a wooden spoon until well coated.
    Add the chutney and mix well.
    Place the pecan mixture on paper towels on the baking sheet and place in the oven.
    Turn the heat off.
    Let the pecans dry in the oven about 10 minutes.
    Remove from the oven, salt lightly and let cool completely.
    Store in an airtight container.
