Beer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. chopped dates
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    2 c. beer
    2 tsp. baking soda
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and shortening. Beat eggs. Add to mixture. Beat in nuts, dates and spices.
    Sift flour with soda and salt. Alternate stirring in flour and beer to creamed mixture, mixing well. Bake in greased and floured Bundt pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
