Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. cane syrup
1 egg
4 Tbsp. buttermilk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 heaping tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Melt butter and stir in syrup.
Beat egg with buttermilk.
Mix together the dry ingredients, then stir in the eg mixture and the syrup mixture.
Pour into a 9-inch square pan that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 325\u00b0 and bake 25 minutes. Serve with ice cream, yogurt or sorbet.
Makes 9 servings.
