Ingredients

2 blocks butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. Wesson or Crisco oil
2 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt
4 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together and beat until fluffy.
Add oil, almond extract, baking soda and salt.
Mix in flour.
Roll dough into round balls and make indentation with a finger.
Place almond or a dot of red dye in indentation.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
