Table Top Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

cukes (enough to fill 8 to 10 qt. container)
3/4 c. salt
water (to cover)
1/4 c. alum
vinegar
about 5 lb. sugar
2 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
1 tsp. turmeric

Slice cukes and cover with salt and water to cover.
