Homemade Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 tsp. ginger
    1/8 c. oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. milk
    3/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 heaping tsp. cinnamon
    3 rounded tsp. baking powder
    3 to 3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix together the sugar, eggs, oil, milk and salt.
    Sift together 3 times the nutmeg, cinnamon, baking powder, 3 cups flour and ginger.
    Gradually add dry sifted ingredients to liquid ingredients until blended, then add vanilla.
    Add a little flour at a time to dough to make it easy to handle.
    Roll out, cut and fry in shortening or oil at 340\u00b0 in electric frying pan until brown.
