Lemon Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lemon (juice and rind)
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 egg yolks, beaten
    2 egg whites, beaten stiffly
Preparation
    Mix together the lemon juice, lemon rind, sugar and egg yolks; cook in double boiler until mixture begins to thicken.
    Add egg whites; cook about 1 minute.
    Cool.
    Before serving, garnish with whipped cream; top with a cherry.
    Serves 4.
