Rice Cereal Sticks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
1/4 c. vinegar
3/4 c. milk
1 c. crisp rice cereal, crushed
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. caraway or poppy seed
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Blend in shortening until it resembles coarse meal. Add vinegar and 1/2 cup milk all at once, stirring only to combine. Turn out on slightly floured board.
Knead gently 5 or 6 times.
Divide dough into 16 equal parts. Roll each on board with palm of hand to 6-inch cylinder.
Brush with remaining milk. Combine cereal, salt and caraway or poppy seed.
Roll each in cereal.
Place on sheet and bake 15 minutes.
