Puffy French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Blend milk and egg.
    Add to flour mixture and beat until smooth.
    Dip bread slices into batter, turning to coat sides evenly.
    Fry in preheated 375\u00b0 deep fat until golden brown, about 2 minutes on both sides.
    Drain and serve hot.
