Quick Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 egg
1 c. sugar
2 to 3 Tbsp. shortening
1 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
pinch of salt
1 c. boiling water

Preparation

Pour over top of batter a mixture of brown sugar, white sugar and salt; over all pour boiling water.
If chocolate sauce is desired, add 1 tablespoon cocoa to sugar topping.
Bake at 350\u00b0.
