Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large fryer
3 c. water
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. baking powder
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. fat
Preparation
-
Salt
and
pepper
inside dressed poultry, then boil in enough water
to
cover
and cook until tender.
Take chicken from broth here
and
let
cool and remove bones and then put meat back into
broth.
Be
sure
to
have at least 3 cups of water remaining
after poultry has cooked.
If less than this remains, add enough hot water to make up the difference.
Add 1/4 cup butter.
