Helen'S Ginger Creams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. ginger
    3 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and mix well.
    Add molasses and water to which baking soda has been added.
    Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture; mix well.
    Pour batter into two large cookie sheets. Bake for 15 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Frost with a powdered sugar icing while warm.
    Cut into desired sizes.
