Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar (white)
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Use a bit pot and boil slowly to soft ball stage.
    (Turns brown as it cooks.)
    Be sure to stir constantly.
    Take off heat and add vanilla and pecans.
    Stir until candy looks creamy.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
