Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dry bread cubes
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 qt. milk, scalded
    4 slightly beaten eggs
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Bring milk to a scald, soak bread 5 minutes in this.
    Add butter, salt and sugar.
    Pour slowly over eggs; add vanilla and mix well.
    Pour into 3 to 4-quart stainless steel mixing bowl. Bake in pan of hot water at 350\u00b0 until firm.
