Bucket Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. currants
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. raisins
2 tsp. soda
2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. oleo
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
nuts
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Pour boiling water over the fruit.
Add soda and oleo and stir well.
Let stand until completely cold.
Add rest of ingredients and mix well.
Grease and flour 7 (No. 303) cans.
Fill 1/2 full; bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
Test with toothpick.
If not brown enough, raise heat.
Hit side of can with hand to loosen. Remove from can for cooling.
