Old-Fashioned Boiled Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 c. plain flour
1 stick butter
1/2 c. Crisco
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

In
mixing
bowl,
sift
together
sugar and flour.
In saucepan,
put
butter, Crisco, cocoa and water.
Mix together and bring
to a rapid boil and pour over flour-sugar mixture. Add remaining
ingredients;
beat well and bake 25 minutes at 400\u00b0 in an oblong pan.
Frost with Chocolate Frosting.
