Ingredients

1 1/2 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. lemon extract
2 3/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. finely chopped almonds
1 (14 oz.) pkg. Hershey's Kisses
powdered sugar
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

In large bowl, beat butter, sugar and lemon extract until fluffy.
Add flour and almonds.
Beat at low speed until blended. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.
Shape dough around each kiss, covering completely.
Roll to form ball.
Bake at 375\u00b0.
Place on ungreased sheets for 8 to 12 minutes.
Cool completely.
Sprinkle cookies with powdered sugar.
Melt chocolate chips and shortening over low heat.
Drizzle over cookies.
