Paul Lynde'S Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. stew meat on lean side
    1 (No. 2) can diced carrots
    1 (No. 2) can small onions
    1 (No. 2) can whole tomatoes
    1 (No. 2) can tiny peas
    1 (No. 2) can small green beans (not French)
    1/2 can beef consomme
    4 Tbsp. tapioca or 6 Tbsp. flour or 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 c. prepared bread crumbs
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 c. white wine
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    pepper to taste

    Note:
    No. 2 can contains 1 pound 2 ounces to 1 lb. 8 ounces or 2 1/2 cups.
