Apricot Bars(Serves 12 To 15) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. dried apricots
    1/2 c. soft butter
    1/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 1/3 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Rinse apricots; cover with water and boil 10 minutes.
    Drain; cool and chop apricots.
    Set aside.
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Mix butter, granulated sugar and 1 cup flour until crumbly.
    Pack into pan and bake for 25 minutes.
    Sift 1/3 cup flour, baking powder and salt.
    Beat eggs and add brown sugar. Beat until well mixed.
    Add flour mixture.
    Spread over baked layer.
    Bake 30 minutes.
    Cool in pan.
    Cut into squares and roll in confectioners sugar.
