Banana Cake * - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    6 tsp. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. mashed ripe bananas
    3 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients, then add shortening, sugar, buttermilk and bananas.
    Mix enough to dampen flour.
    Beat 2 minutes, using low speed on mixer, then add eggs and vanilla.
    Beat one minute. Fold in chopped nuts.
    Dust cake tin with 6 tablespoons of flour. Cook at 325\u00b0.
