Cottage Cheese Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 recipe plain pastry
    1 1/2 c. thin sliced apples
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. cottage cheese
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cream
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. grated lemon rind
Preparation
    Line pie pan with pastry.
    Cover with apples.
    Beat eggs.
    Add cottage cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, cream, salt and lemon rind.
    Mix remaining sugar with cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Sprinkle over apples, then cover with egg and cheese mixture.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Reduce oven to 350\u00b0 and bake 30 minutes longer.
    Makes 1 deep dish 9-inch pie.
