Homestead Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. white corn meal mix
3/4 c. milk
1 egg, unbeaten
1 Tbsp. melted shortening or oil
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0. Place cornmeal in mixing bowl.
Add milk, egg and melted shortening or oil.
Stir only enough to thoroughly mix ingredients. Pour immediately into well-greased 6-inch square pan and bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
