Grandma'S Fruitcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    1 lb. box brown sugar
    1 doz. eggs
    3 1/2 c. flour (reserve 1/2 c. for fruit and nuts)
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    2 boxes raisins or dates
    1 lb. cherries (red and green)
    1 lb. pineapple (mixed colors)
    6 to 8 c. nuts
    1 small can crushed pineapple
Preparation
    Melt butter
    and brown sugar.
    Add eggs, flour, flavoring and spices.
    Cut
    and mix fruit and nuts in separate bowl. Add 1/2 cup flour
    and mix.
    Add crushed pineapple.
    Mix fruit in batter. Pour in
    prepared pans sprayed with vegetable oil. Bake 1 hour at 200\u00b0 or 2
    hours
    at
    300\u00b0.
    Makes\t4 to 6 loaf pans.
